Welcome to BCTMO Conservation Club

BCTMO Conservation Club is a Canadian-owned, year-round guide outfitting company specializing in fair chase hunts for 13 species of Canadian world record big game. Since 1918, our family has been catering to outdoor enthusiasts seeking multiple species combination hunts in the Chilcotin Ark of British Columbia. Despite our long hunting season, we only utilize prime times for each species to get the best results.

The Chilcotin Ark has been a world-renowned hunting mecca since the 1800s. It is classic Bighorn sheep and mule deer habitat, with thousands of alpine basins which can be reached by horse. By managing our guide territory carefully, we provide you with a high quality wilderness hunting experience.

Hunters can expect high success rates and good trophy quality with wilderness hunts from BCTMO Conservation Club’s permanent alpine camps, spike camps and lodge. We’re solely Canadian-owned and all our licensed guides know our trails, animal habits, and wildlife like the back of their hand.

Hunt species include: Canadian and Rocky Mountain goat; black, colour-phase, and cinnamon black bear, Canadian moose (not Shiras moose or Yukon moose): cougar (mountain lion or puma); whitetail, blacktail and mule deer; lynx, bobcat; grey wolf; and coyote.

The bobcats and cougars in southwestern British Columbia are large and make for impressive mounts. We hunt them by chasing them with our cougar hounds, baited hunts and with predator calling. You’ll learn how to identify and read the story left by tracks in the snow.

We also offer excellent wing shooting for upland birds (blue grouse, spruce grouse, and ruffed grouse and arctic and rock ptarmigan) and waterfowl (Canada geese, snow geese, Ross’s geese, and mallards, pintails, harlequin, canvasback, and goldeneye ducks). Bring your own bird dog.

And, in our nearby rivers there is excellent freshwater fishing for kokanee salmon as well as Dolly Varden, rainbow, and brook trout — a perfect combination to a hunt during May through October.
