Lodge and Camp Based Wilderness Hunts

Wilderness-based hunts take place in our permanent alpine camps and hunting is done by horseback or by foot. Base camps are comfortable and equipped with heated tent cabins and log cabins.

If you’re at the hunt lodge or in a camp, you’ll like our homemade meals. We serve breakfast, lunch (in lunch bags), and dinner. Our menu includes salmon, roast beef, ham, barbecue ribs, chicken, salads, and great desserts.

Lodge-Based Hunts

Lodge

A customized hunt based from our comfortable hunt lodge includes home-cooked meals and a variety of hunt styles to suit your interests and abilities. Guided hunting is by done by a combination of 4x4, foot, horseback and/or snowmobile, depending on specie and the time of year.

Lodge-based trips include all the amenities of home: a full-time cook, room service, private rooms, shower, Jacuzzi tub, washer and dryer, satellite TV, Internet, phone, library, fireplace, and video system. The hunt lodge accommodates 6 hunters and their partners comfortably. And, at the end of the day, rest comfortably in our lodge, ready for your next day!

There are many activity options for family or friends to partake in while at the lodge such as guided fishing, horseback riding, wildlife viewing, hiking, and swimming at nearby lakes. Winter activities include cross-county skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and winter horseback riding.

Camp and Spike-Based Wilderness Hunts

Camp

We have 25 alpine camps within our 2,000 square mile guide territory. These camps vary between fully equipped permanent base camps, seasonal camps, and spike camps. Two clients, a guide, and a wrangler are the typical number in a camp.

The permanent base camps include log cabins and/or tent cabins with cooking facilities. The tent cabins are 10x12 “walk about” structures with raised floors for sleeping. The more developed permanent camps have solar-lighting, heaters in tent cabins, wooden bed frames with sleep pads, and gravity-fed showers.

The seasonal camps consist of tent cabins for cooking and sleeping, wood stoves, sleeping pads, and outhouse.

The spike camps are for the adventurer who wants to sleep with the game. These camps are a good option for those who want to reduce travel time and spot game from camp.

Non-Hunting Ranch Adventures

Turn your hunt into a family or inter-generational vacation by bringing you child, grandchild, or spouse. We offer a safe and fun-learning environment where they can participate, as much or as little as they want, on your trophy hunting adventures.

Our comfortable hunt lodge sleeps 6, provides three homemade meals each day, and offers many non-hunter experience add-ons suited to the seasons. We provide a safe and fun learning environment to gain a deeper appreciation of nature and resource management.

View grizzlies on a spring black bear hunt, go predator viewing in the winter with some snowmobiling, or horseback riding in the fall. Or, non-hunters can also just relax at our lodge, sipping hot chocolate by the fireplace with a good book from our library.
